Commonwealth of 维吉尼亚DHRM Policy 2.35: Civility in the Workplace

This policy prohibits all forms of harassment in the workplace including harassment based on 性别, marital status or pregnancy. Workplace harassment is any unwelcome verbal, written or physical conduct that:
 

  • either denigrates or shows hostility or aversion towards a person on the basis of race, color, 宗教, sex (including pregnancy), 国家的起源, 性别, 年龄, 资深地位, 残疾, political affiliation, sexual orientation or genetic information
  • has the purpose or effect of creating intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment;
  • has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an employee's work performance;
  • or affects an employee's employment opportunities or compensation.

Sexual harassment is any unwelcome sexual advances, request for sexual favors, 或口头, written or physical conduct of a sexual nature by a man年龄r, 主管, co-workers or non-employee (third party).

The University's Committee on Sexual Harassment is chaired by the Director of Equity and EO/AA . The committee assists members of the University community who are the object of sexual harassment, or who are accused of violating the policy. It is the policy of Old Dominion University to provide students and employees with an environment for learning and working which is free of harassment and to assist victims of sexual harassment and those accused of violating the policy.
